HISTORIA DE UNA GÁRGOLA
This is the story of Balial, a Gargoyle who returns to life during a stormy night, when lightning takes him off from the stone wall to which he has been linked for centuries; the wall belongs to a famous cathedral of the revolutionated city of Paris. Stunned, the Gargoyle stamps on the floor. Its horrible appearance reflected in a puddle reminds him his destiny: to provoke fear to anybody.
Written in first-person, Historia de una gárgola is the intimate chronicle of the adventures and, basically, misadventures of a smelly, ugly, repulsive and frightening monster whose maximum pleasure is feeding on the fear that he causes, but, surprisingly, he has the power to talk and talk a lot, he can love and become a voracious reader of ancient prophecies and demonic creatures treaties.
Balial is a buffoon, a fun, eloquent and ironic narrator who shows us the humiliations suffered throughout his life. Milo J. Krmpotić explains a tale of terror and picaresque starring a postmodern anti-hero with intestinal problems that must choose between the good and the evil to save the world from the Kingdom of Horror and thus avoid the end times.
